Coach Dan Kerr and his Queen's Grant High School Stallions will make their first trip to The Jimmy for the 2019 Southeastern Baseball Classic. Located in Matthews, NC, Queen's Grant's baseball program is in its infancy compared to longtime Palmetto State powers Hartsville and Northwestern. Don't let the program's lack of longevity fool you. Coach Kerr and the Stallions will stampede into Kelleytown Stadium ready to write their own piece of SBC history. Led by P/INF Bryce Gorospe, the Stallions finished as their conference runners-up in 2018 and had 5 players named all-conference.
Gorospe had a sensational 2018 season, hitting .421 with 12 doubles and 15 stolen bases. On the mound, Gorospe was clocked in the low 90s, while racking up 35 Ks in 34 innings.
Queen's Grant has four games scheduled at The Jimmy:
Tuesday, April 16 vs. Hartsville at 6:45pm
Wednesday, April 17 vs. Northwestern at 1pm
Wednesday, April 17 vs. Georgia Premier at 3:45pm
Thursday, April 19 vs. Robert E. Lee Academy at 6:30pm
